The miniature tableaus are terrific examples of art’s ability to transform seemingly predictable, mundane scenarios into absurd, freakish, and beautiful visual experiences.

Giai-Miniet’s libraries are detailed and striking, replete with book cover art, author names, and identifiable typography. Occasionally a diorama’s title will conjure a loose narrative, an obscure starting point from which the viewer might further consider the art via

Fudge recipe on a headstone

I feel like I should make this just to be able to say a dead person taught me how to make it. Maybe I’ll do it for Halloween.

I desperately hope that she spent her entire life telling people that they could have her fudge recipe “over my dead body.”

N44C is an emission nebula of about 125 light-years across in the Large Magellanic Cloud, a small companion galaxy to our own Milky Way which lies about 157,000 light-years away in the southern constellation of Dorado, while it is receding from us at approximately 278 kilometers per second. The nebula is surrounding an association of young stars.
